how to doodle a star.
five lines. the trick to a cute star is not to draw a perfect one: this one has fallen off the top of the tree and is pretending it meant to.
step by step
-

one star, one line. go round once: out to a point, back in, out again, five times. uneven points are better.
-

the spring. a short zigzag hanging from the bottom. it was clipped to a tree.
-

sleepy eyes. two short flat lines, side by side.
-

a whistle. a small round mouth. done. nothing to see here.
what makes a star cute
- fat points. short, round points look soft. long thin ones look sharp.
- face in the middle. a star's middle is small, so keep the face tiny.
- give it legs, or a tail. a shooting star is a star with somewhere to be.
three shooting stars to try

send your star to someone
in wiggle together you draw it in black pen, fold it into a paper plane and throw it to a moon you share with one friend. they color it in, and every line keeps wiggling, like the stars on this page.
